Junior parent

For over five years, both of our children have been incredibly fortunate to train with Coach Nan. During that time, we have watched their tennis skills improve tremendously, along with their confidence, resilience, and self-esteem.

Coach Nan is not only a skilled instructor but also an exceptional role model. She has an amazing gift for developing complete players, helping our kids build strong technical skills while also strengthening their mental game, including focus, discipline, good sportsmanship, and belief in oneself. And she always does so in a consistently positive and encouraging way. Both of my kids have become more confident and proficient competitors because of her exceptional guidance.

What truly sets Coach Nan apart is the way she encourages greatness beyond tennis. She inspires her players to carry the lessons they learn on the court into their everyday lives, perseverance, accountability, sportsmanship, and pride in their effort. She celebrates their successes with genuine enthusiasm and works with them through challenges, always pushing them to improve while making them feel supported and capable.

She has had a lasting impact not just on my children as athletes, but on who they are becoming as young adults. Although our daughter is now in college, she is excited to train with Coach Nan on her visits home, and Coach Nan goes out of her way to keep in touch with her while she's away at school. My husband and I grew up playing tennis. We both frequently comment how lucky our kids are to have had not only an incredible coach but such a positive role model in their lives. We are deeply grateful for Coach Nan's continued dedication to our kids both on and off the court.

Bill has been coaching our son since 2019, and both of our boys absolutely adore him. He's so much more than a coach, Coach Bill is like a tennis dad to my boys. Every single time they walk off the court, they're smiling. Bill has this incredible ability to make kids genuinely love their time on court, which is such a rare gift. Beyond the tennis, he's someone we trust, always ready to listen, a source of great advice, and a friend to our family. He is a well-respected coach for good reason, and we feel lucky to have him in our boys' corner. Bill continues to work with both boys, and we wouldn't have it any other way.

Nanely coached our youngest son in his early years and helped him form a strong foundation for his game, which has been invaluable. With our older son, she has had a tremendous impact on his technique. She has an exceptional eye for spotting areas that need improvement and a real talent for breaking things down in a way that's easy to understand and immediately apply on court. Nan is laser-focused in every session, and her deep knowledge of the game shines through in everything she does.

What sets her apart is that she wears many hats. Nan is a skilled and accomplished tennis coach, a wonderful mentor, and someone who genuinely cares about her students as people. She doesn't just help them improve their tennis, she builds their confidence and helps them excel on and off the court. Nanely continues to work with both boys, and we feel truly fortunate to have that opportunity. We absolutely love Coach Nan and Coach Bill!

Crooked Creek is where tennis began for my son, six years ago. The pros there have fostered in him a love and dedication to the game that I never would have expected. Over the past year and half, he has been taking regular private lessons with Coach Nan in addition to group clinic. She has tirelessly helped him to refine his technique, adopt strategy in matches, and choose longterm development over immediate satisfaction of winning. She is patient, caring, encouraging, and exacting. She is everything one could want in a coach.

Since moving into Crooked Creek 19 years ago we quickly found out that tennis is a way of life, a great way to meet friends and a great way to learn the game of tennis from some of the best coaches in the business. I have had the pleasure of working with both Nan and Bill throughout the years and have to say they not only are good teachers but make each lesson fun and challenging. I honestly don't know how they can work all day with the junior future tennis pros and still have the energy and motivation to coach us old timers in the evening. Truly these two are the best!

Both possess the ability of not only instructing players on the technical aspects of their tennis strokes, games, and strategies, but also instilling motivation, confidence, and positivity while doing so. These clinics are very well-run while being informative, competitive, and fun at the same time!

I am fairly new (2 years) to organized tennis. I wanted to get better and be more competitive. Ever since I started taking Bill's Drills I have become a better tennis player all around. It's great exercise, and competitive game play. If you are wanting to up your tennis game, I would strongly recommend taking his class on Monday nights.

I have lived in Crooked Creek the past 12 years and have been very active in the tennis community. Unfortunately, I am moving out of the area and one thing I will miss greatly is training with both Nan and Bill DeMartini. They are both great people and awesome coaches. All the pros at Crooked Creek have been wonderful, but Bill and Nan are stand outs. I've learned a lot of strategy from Nan and Bill is the nicest coach around. He's patient, funny, and makes lessons or drills so enjoyable. He will make you fall in love with tennis!
