How do I register for a program?
Everything runs through CourtReserve. Create a free account, then use the Register button on the program page you want. Your spot is confirmed once payment goes through, and unregistered players cannot take part. The start page walks through it.
Is Crooked Creek in Milton or Alpharetta?
The neighborhood is in the City of Milton. The mailing address is Alpharetta: 14250 Creek Club Dr, Alpharetta, GA 30004. Directions and parking are on the visit page.
Do I have to live in Crooked Creek to play?
No. Players from outside the neighborhood are welcome in every program and pay 10 percent more than residents on every rate. Both prices are shown wherever a price appears. Every rate is on the pricing page.
How do I pay?
By Visa, Mastercard or American Express, through CourtReserve. All payments are processed by DeMartini Tennis.
What happens when it rains or gets cold?
Junior classes may be canceled for rain, for courts left unsafe by earlier rain, or for cold; on cold days the call is made at class time. Every cancellation notice goes out through CourtReserve, so keep your contact details there current. Yellow Ball is the exception: it is never canceled for weather and moves indoors for video analysis, footwork, conditioning and mental training, unless a severe storm leaves no safe indoor option.
Coming soon: the weather policy for adult drills and Cardio Tennis. Bill supplies it; no source states it.
Can my child make up a missed junior class?
Yes, with approval beforehand. Ask before the class you want to attend, for a weekday class at the same level in the same session. Approval depends on space. Classes missed for illness must be made up within the current session; they do not carry over. No credit is given for classes that cannot be made up. The Juniors page has the email address for makeup requests are on the juniors page.
What is the makeup week for?
Weather cancellations only. Fall Session 2 has a makeup week of December 7 to 11. If no classes were lost to weather, no classes are added. Yellow Ball runs all scheduled weeks regardless.
Can I withdraw from a junior session, and what is refunded?
Withdrawals go in writing by email. Cancel 14 or more days before the session starts for a full refund. Cancel 7 to 13 days before for a 50 percent cash refund or a 100 percent program credit. Cancel fewer than 7 days before for a program credit only. Medical or emergency cancellations are refunded in full at any time with documentation. Once a session is underway, refunds for remaining classes carry a 5 percent administrative fee. Credits are good for one year and transfer within the immediate family. Refund requests go to bill@demartinitennis.com.
Can my child join a junior session after it has started?
Yes, after the first week, if there is space. The price is prorated to the classes left. Email before registering so we can confirm a spot.
Does my child have to come on the same day each week?
Yes. A junior registration is for the same day and time each week for the whole session. If your child is enrolled for more than one day, those days stay fixed too.
Can my child drop in to a single junior class?
Space permitting, yes. Drop-in rates run by class length, from $18 resident and $19.80 non-resident for a 45-minute Red Ball class to $46 and $50.60 for a two-hour Yellow Ball class. Email bill@demartinitennis.com to arrange. The full drop-in table is on the pricing page.
Which junior level is right for my child?
By age, Red Ball is 4 to 6, Orange Ball is 7 to 10, Green Ball is 10 to 12, and Yellow Ball is 10 and up. Dev Yellow is for competitive players moving to the full yellow ball. The Juniors page has a fuller guide, and Bill will place your child if you are unsure are on the juniors page.
How do I book a private lesson?
Email bill@demartinitennis.com or call 678-772-9254 with your level, who the lesson is for, and your preferred days and times. Bill pairs you with a coach and a time. Rates and details are on the lessons page.
Which adult drill should I take?
Drills are grouped by level, from 2.5 to 3.0 on Monday morning up to 3.5 to 4.5 on Wednesday morning, with co-ed on Friday and men's on Monday night. If you are not sure of your level, email Bill with how long you have played and any league rating you hold. Days, times and prices are on the adults page.
How do I join an ALTA or USTA team?
Email bill@demartinitennis.com with "League team" in the subject line, your level and the days you can play. Bill will help you find a team or form one. More on leagues are on the leagues page.
What should I bring?
Coming soon: what players should bring to clinics and lessons (racquet, water, shoes, whether loaner racquets exist). Bill supplies this; the current site asks the question on its camp page without an answer.
Will my child be photographed?
Taking part in a program means consenting to photos and video during sessions for DeMartini Tennis marketing and communications. To opt out, say so on your registration form.
