Nanely DeMartini
PTR Certified Professional · 30 years experience · ALTA Magazine featured coach
Nanely grew up in Lima, Peru, in a competitive tennis family, and the results came early. She won the 10U World Cup at nine. She was ranked number one in Peru from the 10s through the 18s, and number one in South America in the 12s, 14s and 16s. At fifteen she represented Peru in the Fed Cup. She reached number nine in the world in ITF Juniors, with junior wins over Amélie Mauresmo, Marion Bartoli, Patty Schnyder and Anna Kournikova.
The University of Georgia offered her a scholarship. She turned professional instead and played the WTA Tour from seventeen to nineteen.
As an adult she is a six-time USTA National Team Champion in the 35s Open Division, representing the Southern Section. ALTA Magazine featured her alongside Bill, photographed on the courts at Crooked Creek.
Nanely is a PTR Certified Professional with more than thirty years of teaching. She directs the Yellow Ball junior program at Crooked Creek and has carried the highest private lesson volume on staff since 2019.
Nan is married to Bill. Their daughter Isabella, Bella to everyone, is six and has just started playing.
